Included in the trip
With our services, travel planning becomes effortless. Our team of experienced travel coordinators takes care of every detail, allowing you to fully enjoy your trip.
Accomodation
We have designated airport hotels near to San Jose airport that are comfortable ready for your trip. In Santa Teresa you will be staying in a Villa located centrally with access to a pool to cool off inbetween volunteering and days off.
(Note: We can’t guarantee availability of Luna Villas on all dates, but rest assured, we will provide high-quality alternatives that are just as comfortable and conveniently located.)
Food
You will be provided meals in the villa everyday of the program as well as lunch during clinic days. We provide local dishes so that you can delight yourself with traditional food from Costa Rica. Please let us know before hand if you have any food allergies and dietary restrictions that we need to be aware of.
Transportation
Transportation is going to be included right from the start of this trip and will take you all the way to Santa Teresa. You will be picked up everyday in a private transfer and returned back to the villa. Your safety is our priority whilst on this volunteer program. If you want to explore on your free days you will need to provide your own transport.

Luna Villas (our primary accommodation option) offers you an unparalleled experience, blending comfort with nature. Located just a short drive from the program locations, the villas are surrounded by Costa Rica’s lush, tropical beauty, giving you a peaceful retreat after a day of clinical experience.
However, we understand that travel plans can shift, and sometimes availability can change. If Luna Villas isn’t available during your chosen dates, we’ll arrange comfortable accommodations in trusted local hotels or apartments. These are all within the same area, maintaining high standards of comfort, safety, and convenience for our students.

Travel FAQ'S
Arrival and Departure Information
Upon arrival, our airport representative will pick you up at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose and transfer you directly to our designated hotel near the airport. Be sure to send us your exact flight details ahead of time so we can coordinate your airport pickup smoothly.
We will all return to the airport on the last day of volunteering ensuring you have enough time to get your flight home.

Visa Requirements
Before traveling, research the visa requirements for your nationality and apply for the necessary tourist visa. Some nationalities are eligible for a visa on arrival, while others must obtain one in advance. Check Costa Rica's immigration website for the most up-to-date information. US citizens do not require a visa to enter Costa Rica.

Travel and medical insurance is an essential and compulsory for the trip you must provide a copy of this with us directly via email office@mededquest.com

Recommended Vaccinations
Consult with a travel doctor to determine which vaccinations are recommended or required for your trip. We highly recommend being up-to-date on routine vaccinations as well as Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Typhoid. Check the CDC website for Costa Rica-specific health information and travel warnings.
Getting vaccinated well in advance of your trip is crucial to staying healthy and safe while volunteering abroad.

Payment
We will send you an invoice for full payment once we have confirmed your place on the volunteer experience, this must be paid in full 65 days prior to the trip via bank transfer.
